The Louisville lead grew to 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth inning as Steve Selsky continued his hot hitting with a double to right field. The Bats, who have struggled mightily this season to score runs at home, finally got their offense in gear in the bottom of the third inning as Carlos Triunfel doubled to left field and eventually scored on a two-run RBI single by Juan Perez. “I played against a lot of these guys when I was younger, going up through the minors,” Lopez said. Lopez said he "knew of" several of the Louisville players before flying into town Tuesday morning. “It’s great to be back in affiliate ball, having fun with guys. “In that first at-bat, I really felt comfortable,” said Lopez, a Florida State graduate. He quickly accepted, went back to Connecticut to pack and booked a flight from New York City. Lopez said he was getting ready for batting practice in York, Pa., a few days ago when his agent called and said the Reds offered him a deal. Lopez, a 28-year-old who has played for several Triple-A teams, came through with a couple of clutch two-out, run-scoring singles, propelling the Bats to a 3-2 win Wednesday afternoon at Louisville Slugger Field. Lopez - whose contract was purchased by the Cincinnati Reds from Bridgeport (Conn.), an independent team in the Atlantic League - filled the spot on the roster left after Ramon Cabrera was called up by the Reds. Although he had to wait through a three-hour rain delay, it didn’t take long for Rafael Lopez to make his mark on the Louisville Bats.
